New User Sign Up

Here is how to set-up your account.

Log in:

  1. To log in use your “Account Number”
    • If you don’t know your account number, call (818) 973-4900
  2. Create a password:
    • Enter the password set up for your account
    • If you don’t know your password or do not have one, simply call (818) 973-4900 and request a password for online banking

Some of our members have had difficulty logging into Online Banking believing that they may have been locked out of their account. Our security protocols are designed to prevent a second login attempt if the browser is not closed (to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your account).

To solve this issue:

  • Close all browser windows
  • Reset or clear the cache of your internet browser
  • Restart your browser
  • Try to log in again

Making payments

Making payments with your iOS device has never been easier! Members that currently own an Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or the new Apple Watch, can link their MasterCard®debit car and VISA® credit cards and make payments securely right from their devices.

How does it work?

Apple developed an entirely new way to make purchases using an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The technology uses a built-in application in iOS (the iPhone’s operating system) to securely save your card information. The best part is, your stored card is safer to use because the card number is hidden from secret cameras and skimming devices, and can’t be stolen from your wallet without taking your finger as well.

The phone knows when you are near an eligible Apple Pay terminal, so all you have to do is:

  1. Open the iPhone “Passbook” application;
  2. Click on your Technicolor FCU Debit Card Image;
  3. Place your iPhone next to the payment terminal;
  4. Wait for the “Pay with TouchID” message to pop up;
  5. Place your finger on the iPhone finger scanner;
  6. Hold your finger in place until the phone tells you the transaction is complete;
  7. Do NOT enter your PIN; run all transactions as “credit” as your PIN will not work with Apple Pay.

How do I set up my card in Apple Pay?

To set up Apple Pay, just open the “Settings” application, click on “Passbook & Apple Pay”, then click “Add Credit or Debit Card”. From there you can scan your card or manually enter the numbers in.

After your card is entered, you may need to contact us during our regular business hours to activate your card. You can do so by calling us at (818) 973-4900 during our regular business hours. Where Can I Use it?

Apple Pay currently works with a variety of merchants. We cannot guarantee that all merchants will accept Apple Pay as this technology is new to them as well. Some of the participating companies include: The Apple Store, McDonald’s, Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Sephora, Petco, Panera Bread, Sprouts Markets, Staples, Nike, Walgreens, Subway, Whole Foods, Marriot and more.

Fraud Prevention & Security

The reason we require you to contact us during our business hours is to protect your account from unauthorized access. Once your card is provisioned in Apple Pay, it will be significantly more secure than carrying around a plastic card. However, if someone were to steal your full card information, they can use that to make purchases on your account, including through Apple Pay. We strongly encourage you to protect your plastic card and always be on the lookout for potential criminals and skimming devices that may try to swipe your card information.

Using Apple Pay will help to reduce the potential for fraud while providing you with a more convenient payment option.

What are eStatements?

eStatements can eliminate the problem of having statements lost in the mail. Even if your eStatements reminder email (which generates on the first day of each calendar month) gets lost in your junk/SPAM email box, your statement will still be available for you to view in online banking. These statements are available for downloading and printing (we recommend printing it and not storing the file on your computer for security reasons) for a limited number of months so we encourage our members to access and store their statements as soon as they are ready.

How to sign up for eStatements

  1. Login to Online Banking from our Homepage
  2. Click “Online Statements”
  3. Click “Delivery Options”
  4. Select “Online Statements” for each account type
  5. Click “Submit Changes”

eStatement Security

TFCU goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure the security of your accounts and personal information. When you switch to eStatements, you can add an extra layer of security to your accounts.

While paper mail can be lost, stolen or tampered with, our secure eStatements can only be accessed from within your online banking account, which means that a thief would have to get past your unique member number and password, in addition to our Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) security protocols.

In addition, we never send your eStatements within the email itself; we only send a reminder that your statement is ready to view in Online Banking. This keeps your personal information behind our secure firewall that only you can access. We recommend that our members use an internet browser that utilizes “private” or “secure” browsing modes where their computers do not “cache” or “store” information viewed on their computer.

eAlerts

eAlerts is an outstanding tool that can help you manage your account on the go. Even when you are not in front of a computer and logged into online banking, eAlerts can help you:

  • Email and text message notifications
  • Balance updates
  • Minimum balance notification
  • Withdrawals
  • Other important account alerts

To sign up, login to online banking and click on “Account Access” on the top blue navigation bar, and then click on “Notifications” to set up eAlerts.

Easily reorder checks online

Reorder checks faster than you can write one—and order leather checkbook covers, too. We’ll deduct fees from your TFCU checking account. Order yours today.

Deposit your paycheck automatically

Deposit your paycheck automatically and eliminate the need to drive to the credit union. You can opt to deposit all of your paycheck or a specific dollar amount per pay period. That way, you’ll always have access to cash at one of over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs on the CO-OP Network.

Technicolor Federal Credit Union is a trusted source to wire funds out or receive wired funds into your accounts.

For outgoing wires less than $1,000.00, download our online member wire transfer agreement and fax to (818) 973-4912. After sending your fax, please call us at (818) 973-4900 to ensure we have received your request. Requests for outgoing wires received by 12:00 PM will be processed that day.

Requests for outgoing wires greater than $1,000.00 must be completed in person at the branch location.

For incoming wires, download our incoming wire instructions and provide them to the financial institution sending funds to your TFCU account.
